Welcome to another fishing report from your favorite fishing charter team on the Emerald Coast. Our captains have the latest details on what’s been biting out on the water in Destin this week.

Here are the fish our captains have reported biting:

Bottom Fish Biting This Week

  • Vermilion Snapper
  • White Snapper
  • Black Snapper

Troll/Sight Fish Biting This Week

  • None

From Captain Payton

Another week, another haul of fish!

The tides haven’t done much to stop the bite offshore, but it’s done some damage inshore. Those sheepshead are finicky on a neap tide for sure.

Offshore was great again this week for mingos, white snapper, and sand perch! Easy money dropping two hook rigs with cut squid down on them. Many a meals caught this week over shallow reefs.

The flounder seem to be hot right now just offshore again! Lots being caught off the pier in Okaloosa. Bull minnows seem to being doing the trick for those guys on a Carolina rig.

Blackfin toon reports are sparse. Not hearing of many being caught close to shore, but I expect that to change pretty quick in the next few weeks. I also expect the Spanish to show up soon, with kings close behind. It’s almost that time of year again!

Tight lines y’all!
