And we’re back with another Destin Fishing Report! It’s been a busy year and we haven’t been able to post in a few weeks, but here we go again!

The general bite has been very up and down lately. Some days we are crushing the mingo snapper, others we can’t buy a mingo out there.

It’s taken a lot of running around and patience to get them recently. Squid seems to be working as well as anything at the moment, and it holds up a little better when’s catching the mingos.

Amberjack season has just begun and people are bringing some nice ones to the docks. They’re a little undersized in state waters, but if you get out to federal waters bring some jigs and have some fun!

Triggers are overwhelming (as usual) but not too many keepers hanging out over the reefs. Even our less pressured reefs aren’t holding too many keepers these days. We’ve started to just fish around them or on reefs without them instead of targeting them at this point.

Red snapper weekends are almost back! We can’t wait to take y’all fishing in October. If you haven’t yet, click that link and reserve your spot to fish with us in the rodeo today!
