From Captain Payton

It has been ROUGH out there. We have had some really bouncy days in the Gulf recently, but hoping that the weather is making a turn for the better starting on Saturday!

The usual is biting well: mingo snapper, white snapper, black snapper (some really nice ones), gag grouper, red snapper, and mackerel. We even had some mahi on the boat before the weather turned unfishable.

We expect to see some more mahi on some of these weeds that are out there. Lots of south wind blowing in tons of seaweed. Should see the seaweed stack up once things stop blowing up every day in the gulf with the crazy winds we’ve been having.

We are just days away from grouper opening up, and we are really excited! Red snapper season is just a couple short weeks away as well! It’s going to be one hell of a season this summer. Click that book now button to secure your spot before it’s too late!

Tight lines y’all!
