Troll/Sight Fish Biting This Week

From Captain Payton

Spring Break is here! We are as busy as ever down at the docks, and that means lots of good fish being brought back!

Notably the Spanish mackerel have started running pretty thick, which is making our inshore charters a lot more exciting now! Having some great mornings full of reeling in the Spanish mackerel. The afternoons have slacked off a lot on the Spanish, but still plenty of fish to catch inshore in the afternoons. Sheepshead are still being pulled up at the bridge, and pompano have begun to run the beaches. I expect to see some nice pompano being caught in the harbor soon enough!

Offshore has been great, as always. The mingo bite is hot, the Spanish trolling is great, reports of kings being caught are heating up. The weather looks to be making a turn for the warmer now too. It’s going to be a great spring offshore! Hopefully the kings move in thick with the bait this spring, and we can hear those lines screaming each morning!

Dates are filling up quick for summer red snapper as well, so don’t wait too long to book that snapper trip!

Tight lines y’all!
