Wow that bite has been hot! Lots of sand perch, vermillion, and white snapper to be caught on the bottom right now! We pulled in 77 at the picture above on a short 4hr trip just a few days ago. The fishing is hot and getting hotter as the weeks go by.
There’s also been a ton of flounder at near shore reefs recently. They’re crushing bull minnows, and there are a ton of fun to catch on light tackle, not to mention extremely tasty to eat.
The Spanish should be showing up any day now in big numbers. I expect to see the trolling bite start to pick up as the water temp is heating up quick. It’s looking like perfect mid 70’s weather for as long the forecast is showing.
